The Youth Congregation 
Y is the Whitstable Team Ministry's youth congregation, attracting teenagers from all over East Kent. The leadership team is made up almost entirely of teenagers, which keeps it fresh and forward thinking. Young people continue to make important steps of Faith and are able to invite their friends along.
Y is not some closed friendship group, it is a Kingdom Community. It isn't built on the world's values, but on God's. That's what makes it different. That's what makes it real. It is a meeting place and a testimony of those things that God loves: worship, play, creativity, discussion, story, encouragement, hope and love.
At Y you can expect to meet a range of people, from people who are new Christians or simply exploring for answers, to people who have long term relationships with Jesus.

The Y Cafe after the service each week provides a fun opportunity for people to sell food at a small profit for charity.
A number of adults are part of the community, and invaluably mentor and build relationships with the young people but, very importantly, they do this without taking over.
There is a Y online discussion forum which acts as a virtual meeting place for the young people over the course of the week. Here people can talk to each other, raise questions and seek guidance or direction from the support they receive from one another. Sometimes they may just go online to have fun!!
Finally........
Church and Jesus isn't just for old people! He loves young people just as much. Jesus was once a child too, so have him in your life and, before making your decisions, think "What Would Jesus Do?".
