Belonging 

At St Alphege Seasalter we are all different.  We come from all kinds of backgrounds, we are different ages, with different views on politics, different life experiences, different places of work or volunteering, different skills and abilities, different church experiences.  We even have different ways of understanding God and the Bible sometimes.

But when we join together, our differences don't matter quite as much.  We find we fit together, because we have something really important in common: We are followers of Jesus Christ and we are all at different stages on that life-long journey.  Some are very gently beginning to explore. Some have been Christians for years and years.  And there is every type of journey in-between. 

Jesus told his followers to love one another and to love the world with the kind of love that puts others first.  We want to be a church community like that - loving each other in our differences - because that is what the world needs.
