The Third Age

We know what you are thinking… what in the world is the Third Age?

Many people wonder what we mean by the ‘Third Age’. It is a loose term that does not mean the old!
Organisations such as SAGA and Age UK include anyone from their fifties onward. So in our definition of Third Age we include any who may like to be included in the events we put on of age fifty onwards.

Our desire is to champion individuals who are at this stage of life. We are committed to supporting these individuals in sharing the invaluable gifts, wisdom, and ministry that blesses the church so richly.

We aim to resource the spiritual journey of the older generation by offering pastoral care and opportunities to nurture one’s faith in a loving environment.

Previous activities have included:

Lent Courses,
Afternoon Tea and craft
Strawberry tea and singalong
Remembering the 60s afternoon tea
Pre-Advent course

Regular events include:
Singing for fun and wellbeing first Monday of the month at 2.30pm.

3rd-Age-1
