Youth at St Alphege Seasalter

A Christ‐centred generation of young people daring to make God number one
We long to see a generation passionate about following Jesus with confidence and courage.
Our desire is for every young person to belong, feel comfortable being themselves, make
friends, and enjoy being part of our youth community.
We create space for young people to ask big questions about life and faith, offering support
no matter where they are on their journey with God.
We are passionate about nurturing the next generation, creating a space where young people
can grow in faith, explore their gifts, and become bold followers of Jesus — trailblazers in
their own generation.

Psalm 78:4 (NIV)
"We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the
praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done."

Come As You Are

At St Alphege Seasalter, we are committed to being an inclusive church, welcoming everyone
who walks through our doors. This heart of welcome extends to our youth ministry, where
every young person is valued just as they are.

Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, have lots of questions, or have been
following Jesus for years, there’s a place for you here. We celebrate young people from all
walks of life
, creating a space where everyone feels accepted, safe, and included.
No matter your background, personality, or journey, you can come, be yourself, make friends,
and grow in faith at your own pace — because at St Alphege Seasalter, you belong.

Sunday Activities

Morning Youth Groups – 10:30am Service

Every Sunday we join the wider church family at the 10:30am service. Most weeks, young people head out into age-appropriate groups where we:

  • Explore God’s Word
  • Discuss real life and faith
  • Take part in interactive activities

On some Sundays, young people remain with the whole church family and help serve or participate in the main service.

Youth Lunch – Every 5 Weeks

After church every five weeks, we gather for Youth Lunch — sharing food, fellowship, and fun activities together. It’s a relaxed way to connect and enjoy time as a group.

Youth Worship – 4th Sunday of the Month

On the fourth Sunday of each month, we meet for Youth Worship, a time to go deeper as a group through worship, prayer, and reflection together.

Adventures & Activities Throughout the Year

Youth life at St Alphege Seasalter is never boring! Throughout the year, we run a wide range of fun, inspiring, and community-building activities. From school holidays to weekends, there’s always something happening to bring young people together, make new friends, and create lasting memories.

Our calendar is packed with events like sleepovers, scavenger hunts, beach trips, summer meet-ups, creative workshops, sports days, games, and so much more. Every activity is designed to help young people connect, have fun, and grow in their faith, all in a safe and welcoming environment.

And for the ultimate youth adventure, we take groups to Satellites, a national Christian youth event full of worship, teaching, live music, and unforgettable experiences. It’s a chance to meet young people from across the country and be inspired in your faith while having a blast.  At St Alphege Seasalter, there’s always an opportunity to explore, discover, and be part of something amazing — because youth life is all about community, fun, and growing together.

Safeguarding

At St Alphege Seasalter / SCC we aim to provide a safe and caring environment for children and young people (under 18) entrusted into our care. We recognise and value each young person as a unique individual, and we seek to respect and listen to them. We strive to achieve the highest standards in all pastoral, educational, worship, and recreational activities.  See our Safeguarding Policy here

Get Involved 🧡

Every week, young people are discovering who Jesus is—through honest conversations, shared life, laughter, and real connection.

It’s beautiful. It’s often messy. And it matters more than we realize.
Youth ministry isn’t about having all the answers or being the “cool” adult. It’s about showing up, listening well, and being a consistent voice in a noisy world.

We are helping shape the faith of the next generation. This is real Kingdom work—right here, right now.
And honestly... we’d love to do it with you. Whether you’re a young person, a parent, or someone looking to support our youth, there are ways for you to get involved and make a difference.
